چکیده

Harvesting atmospheric water by solar regenerated desiccants is a promising source that energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and viable. However, the generated amounts of are still insignificant. Therefore, more intensive fundamental research must be undertaken involving experiments modeling. This paper describes several experiments, which were conducted to predict improve behavior absorption/desorption Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) desiccant, where uncertainty did not exceed ±3.5%. The absorption effect in deep container was studied experimentally then amplified pumping air into solution. latter measured thin solution layer under variable ambient conditions. Pumping inside liquid desiccant containers increased rate 3.75% per hour, yet when using solution, it found have 6.5% hour same maximum amount absorbed vapor partial pressure relation investigated, mean absolute error between proposed formula content 6.9%. An empirical formula, one-dimensional mathematical model, developed coupling three differential equations compared experimental data. model 3.13% 7.32% for desorption, respectively. Governing conservation subsequently formulated. models combined solved numerically. Findings obtained from simulation Additionally, scenarios modeled tested Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, various

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

scour modeling piles of kambuzia industrial city bridge using hec-ras and artificial neural network

today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...

Experimental and Numerical Investigations of Stably Statified Atmospheric Flows

Statically stable atmospheric flows are characterized by weak and highly anisotropic turbulence, gravity waves, instabilities, and meandering motions that are not observed in neutral or unstable flows. These features complicate both modeling and measurements in stable boundary layers. Nevertheless, these flows remain of considerable importance for a variety of problems including nighttime flow ...

Experimental investigation on the thermal conductivity of Triethylene Glycol-Water-CuO nanofluids as a desiccant for dehydration process

Liquid desiccants such as glycols are used in dehydration process, among which Triethylene Glycol (TEG) is considered as a common choice. The addition of nanoparticles to TEG as the base fluid is one of the prevalent method to improve thermal properties of TEG. In this study, an experimental investigation was performed on thermal conductivity of TEG-based nanofluids with 20 and 40 nm diameter c...
